Putting productivity on the menu

The New Year brings new challenges and new resolutions – but did you know that your diet can play a huge role in meeting your goals? Eating the right nutritious food can keep your energy levels steady, boost your mood, and leave you ready to tackle anything that 2017 throws at you. Here are some menu ideas to get you started.

Breakfast

Oats are your new best friend when it comes to breakfast. They are packed with slow-releasing energy to keep you fueled throughout the day. Milk, mix in fresh or dried fruits for flavor, and add cinnamon to sweeten.

Mid-morning snack

Keep your team energized throughout the morning slump by stocking your pantry with a range of nutrient-rich snacks. Bananas are an ideal choice as they are packed with mood-boosting magnesium. Raisins and dried apricots are a great source of iron, oranges will deliver up a great dose of folic acid. For bonus points, why not bring some of these superfoods together in a delicious smoothie bar for the team?

Lunch

Salads are the obvious choice for a healthy lunch, however on a cold winter’s day, you can’t beat a delicious bowl of soup.  Serve up with seeded wholegrain bread, or salad and vegetable sides, to leave everyone feeling satisfied. Or if the flu is doing the rounds at your office, opt for a nourishing chicken dish.
